The fresh food centre

Bremen Wholesale Market opened in November 2002 at its new site. Its facilities are now among the most modern in Europe and the entire centre was designed with fresh produce in mind. The wholesale market is now located in an old dockland area. Being so close to the town centre and served by a good local and international transport network, the stage is set for the market to grow and prosper.

The site covers some 16.3 hectares, its focal point being a 22,000 m² wholesale market hall in the classic style. The wholesale market hall is divided into three parts and is used by flower wholesalers, grower-wholesalers and the classic fruit and vegetable wholesalers. To round off the picture there is a specialities market hall offering some 8,000 m² of additional space where a variety of goods are sold on a C&C basis.
