The region's trade centre

Hannover Wholesale Market was established in 1958. Trading on a 23 hectare site, the wholesale market has developed into an indispensable trade centre for small and medium-sized food retailing enterprises.

More than 700 people are employed by the 80 companies based at the wholesale market. In the fully covered market hall - a modern steel and glass construction - between 350,000 and 400,000 tonnes of fruit and vegetables change hands every year.

Vegetables from the Hannover region are on sale here, alongside fruit and vegetable specialities from all over the world. Hannover Wholesale Market’s vast range of goods and services includes international specialities, fresh poultry, fresh and processed meat and sausages, a filling station, repair garage, banana ripening facility, caterers’ products, fully automated recycling station, a diner and the Hannover cash and carry flower market.
